Minutes: Read and approved

 

New Members:  No new members

 

Old Business:  A. Keith sent out a thank you to 1000 Island Nature Center. Ron sent out a thank you to both companies for the raffle     donations.

                             B. Mark will purchase a cash box and adding machines at a later date.

                             C. Keith made a motion To Let Dan D use food that he buys in bulk at a reduced cost for the tanks at the N.E.W. Zoo     and then back charge the club. Seconded by Tad     Passed

                             D. Jean will check on the progress of the poles for the new meeting sign.

 

Sub Committees:

Field Trip:

                             A. Keith will check into going to the Mall of America Aquarium and attending the Minnesota Aquarium Society’s auction.

                             B. Tad will get information on attending the Parade of Ponds in Green Bay.

                             C. Keith made a motion for a tentative field trip to the House of Angels (who is going out of business) and Lakewood and the Old School House on June 5. Mark seconded   Passed    

He will e-mail all members about their availability to attend.

 

Library:  Scott in touch with John to exchange the books. John was unable to make the meeting so a new date will be made.  It is time  to order a new book. Send your ideas to Scott at s.siewert@sbcglobal.net.

 

Show/Swap/Speaker:

                                A. Sharon made a motion to have this event on September 10. 2005  Ron seconded    Passed

                                B. Swap:  Sharon & Ron will contact past sellers.

                                C. Keith made a motion to have sellers pay $5.00 per table and no admission charge.   Ron seconded     Passed

                                D. Speakers: We will use members in the club to speak. Jean V could talk on water treatment and or how to save money on a fish room. Do you have a subject that you would like to inform others about or be informed about? Contact an officer with you ideas.                     E. B.A.P.  No report

 

Open Forum:    A. Keith brought an article on breeding Australian Seahorses.

                             B. Discussed ick and how to kill it.  Use heat

                             C. Explained how to get fungus out of a tank and off of fish.

                             D. Jean gave a report of fish taxidermy and antique lures that she visited at another club’s meeting.

                             E. Answered questions on how to setup a central water filtration system for a small number of tanks.
