7.  Old Business: A. Pet Expo 1. Ron reported on the number of hits the web site received Sunday of the Pet Expo and the weekend after and compared to the number of hits on a regular weekend and the hits have more than doubled.2. Ron and Sharon delivered the raffle tank. 3. We were invited back for next years Pet Expo. Sharon will e-mail the letter and survey to all the members that participated. 4. Discussed if we want to participate in 2008. Ron will contact Cynthi regarding the fees. 5. The date for 2008 will be April 4-6. 5. In May we will vote on participating in next years Expo.

                           B. Sharon will contact Marc to inform him of his membership.

 

8.  Sub Committees:  Auction:  Tony made a motion to have the date for the fall auction be October 28, 2007 dependant on the availability of 1000 Island. Tod seconded. Passed.  Sharon will contact them about this date.

 

                                  Website: 1 Up and current.2 Ron read an e-mail for a saltwater tank for sale.

 

                                  Library: 1.Two new magazines are available. 2 Tony made a motion to renew a three year subscription for Tropical Fish. Scott seconded. Passed.  3. Keith made a motion to purchase the “Pocket Professional Guide To Cichlids” by David Boruchowitz. Tad seconded. Passed. 4. Scott made a motion to purchase “Back To Nature Catfish” by Ad Korings. Keith seconded. Passed

 

                                  B.A.P.: Scott won the quarterly raffle.

 

                                  Field Trip: 1.Driftwood: We will be going to collect driftwood on Sunday April 29th. The Fox Valley folks will meet at the Park & Ride on Ballard Rd leaving at 7:30 a.m. Then go to the Park & Ride on Hwy G in DePere by 8:00 a.m. with a departure time of 8:05. Keith made a motion to reimburse each driver $25. Tod seconded. Passed. 2. Foster and Smith Frap & Swap: Keith inquired if anyone had an interest in attending this event which will be June 22, 23 & 24, 2007. A few showed interest. A date will be set at the next meeting.

 

9.  New Business: 1: Keith informed us of his experience at A’s Exotic Aquatics on Oneida St. 2. Tony stated that the new computer system is just about completed and that Jason will help us with the system at the next auction.

 

10. Open Forum:  1. Discussed how to remove ammonia from a tank. 2. Tad has had his Perch lay eggs which will be interesting to see if they hatch in captivity. 4. Keith received an e-mail from former members seeking information on a fish that they had purchased. 5. Keith will contact former members about joining the club.
