GREEN BAY AQUARIUM SOCIETY

1.      Old Business: A.Field Trip- Shop Hop in Milwaukee has been rescheduled for May 17, 2008 Watch for more information. B. Shirts- Keith was unable to obtain prices. He will try again for May’s meeting. C. Sign- needs to be replaced. Sharon made a motion to replace the sign identical to the old sign. Keith seconded. Passed Keith will get the sign material to Sharon who will then have it printed. D. Corrie brought the sales slips for the cost of the auction and was reimbursed.

2.      Subcommittees: A :Auction- Sharon reported on the end results.

                             B. Web-site-Domain name has been renewed.

                             C. Library-  No report. Keith suggested a new book which the club could      purchase. He will bring it up again at the next meeting.

                             D. Field Trip- Discussed in Old Business

3.      New Business:  A-Bags for rebagging fish at auctions. Several members will find out the prices from different sources and we will discuss them at the next meeting. B- Central Wisconsin Aquarium Society is having their auction April 12, 2008 at the Golf Course in Wausau. C- N.E.W. Zoo Tod will interest new fish in the tanks within the next two months. He and Tony discussed algae build up  in the tanks. The employees leave the lights on for a long time so it was suggested to raise the lights to cut down on algae growth.

4.      Open Forum: A-Corrie shared on his new pleco hatching. B-Tony and Corrie suggested using sand in the bottom of tanks. Two that were suggested are Hand Sand and Black Cord Sandblasting   Sand which are both available at Menards. C-Keith reported on an article in Tropical Fish Hobbyists Magazine on what Pleco’s eat.

5.      B.A.P.: No one brought fish.
