                                          February 9, 2005 Meeting Minutes

                     Minutes:  Read and approved

                     New Members:  No new members

                     Old Business:  A. Auctioneer: Discussed which auctioneers we would like to use. Sharon made a motion to use Mike S and Randy L as auctioneers at the spring auction.  Jean seconded  Passed . B.  Banner:  Scott brought a pattern of the banner which will be printed by next week. Everyone thought the design look very nice.

                     C.  Discussed field trip to GCCA.  D.  Manufacture donations list has been sent out and donations have started to arrive.

                     Sub Committees:  Auction:1000 Island Nature has been confirmed as location for the spring auction on March 20 2005. Flyers have been made and e-mailed to members and are ready to be sent to past sellers and bidders.

                     Boy Scouts will again provide food with the profits going to them. Mark will put up signs and get permission from the city. Monica will mail publicity notices.                       BAP:  They are working on creating new specialist categories and have a raffle for bringing a certain number of fish.

                                 Web Site: No report

                                 Library: No report. Randy informed us of a renewal notice for Cichlids News.  Keith made a motion to renew Cichlid News for two years. Tony seconded.  Passed

                                 Field Trip:  Discussed in Old Business

                     New Business:  Fun Money: What should we do about the fun money with no fall auction?  Keith made a motion to use the fun money at this spring auction using the amount from Oct 2004 to March 2005 with seven meetings have been attended since last April 2004. Jean seconded  Passed

                                                  Thank you dinner:  Keith made a motion to have the Thank you dinner the same night as the auction. Jean seconded.   Passed    Keith made a seconded motion to have the thank you dinner at the Prime Steer 704 Hyland Ave Kaukauna at 6:00 p.m. Jean seconded.  Passed

                                                 N.E.W. Zoo:  Dan D is now taking care of the tank at the N.E.W. Zoo. It was decided that the club will give him food for the fish from the manufactures donations.

                     Open Forum: How to get rid of severe algae in a tank and on a snail shell?  Thoroughly clean the tank and cover it for several days to the stop the algae growth on the snail.
